Slate roof restoration and repointing on a large luxury estate in Saddle River, Bergen County, NJ. The sprawling multi-peak slate roof had cracked slates, failed lead flashings, and deteriorated mortar at all ridge and hip joints. Our inspector found approximately 40 broken or slipping slates across three roof sections, fully failed lead valley flashings allowing water to run directly onto the deck, and mortar erosion at hips and ridges.
