Bluestone & Paver Walkway Installation – Wayne NJ
Project Overview
Complete removal of an old cracked concrete walkway and replacement with a premium bluestone and paver system. The project included a new gray paver pathway leading to the front entrance with a natural bluestone accent border sealed with Duraproof waterproofing.
Analysis
The original concrete walkway had significant cracking and heaving from root damage. A full excavation was required to install a proper compacted gravel base, ensuring long-term stability and proper drainage.
Process
Excavated 8 inches of existing material, installed 4-inch compacted gravel base, laid bluestone slabs and accent pavers, applied polymeric sand, finished with Duraproof UV-resistant sealant.
Outcome
The finished walkway dramatically improved curb appeal with a clean, professional look. The Duraproof sealant protects against freeze-thaw cycles common in NJ winters.
